Private Events

Hosted by Local Businesses or Individuals

I would love the opportunity to help local businesses or individuals host a fun event for friends, clients, colleagues, residents, etc. You will provide the space, and I will handle the rest.

Each event will last  approximately 2 hours and would need a minimum of 10 guests which incl   udes all the canvases, easels, painting supplies, and instruction. There will be a base cost for businesses. Each additional guest would be  extra. To maximize the experience, I would recommend limiting the event to 20 guests.  If you have any questions, please contact me.

I also do children's parties. For more information please drop me a line.

Local artist and retired Leakey ISD teacher

As a teacher, I found joy in working with students.

I'm retired, now what?! Well I decided to share my love of art with the community of Leakey, Texas, and surrounding areas.

The last 12 years of my career were spent teaching English and Art to local high school and junior high students in Leakey. In 2018 I decided to retire after 32 years of teaching.

"I want to continue sharing my love of art with the community of Leakey and surrounding areas. Art is about expressing yourself and being creative."

My love of art and my formal education and training began many years ago. Shortly after earning a B.A. in English from Angelo State University, I returned to ASU to earn a second degree in Art. After a short stint as a public school teacher, I chose to continue pursuing art academically by studying in Europe. I traveled from Rome to London observing and researching the arts - I experienced the most fascinating and centuries-old art firsthand. Upon returning from Europe, I became a commercial artist for a department store chain.

I gave up being a commercial artist to start a   family, but after being a stay-at-home mom for a few years, I started my teaching career and spent 32 years doing what I loved while having summers and holidays to spend with family.

Teaching was and still is my passion - although I am retired from the public school system, I want to continue sharing my love of art with the community of Leakey and surrounding areas. Art is about expressing yourself and being creative. Regardless if you are a novice or professional artist, these events will have you creating art and having a good time with friends.
